Update 8/27/2013: Last 24 hours on the Humble Origin Bundle before the sale ends.
If you want to own a bunch of AAA EA-titles, and find comfort that your money will help people in need, here is your chance.

Last week they added two more games to the bundle. The Red Alert 3 standalone expansion Uprising, and the very old Populous god game from 1998. You get these additional games if you either pay the current average ($4.92), or you bought the bundle already previously. So check your Humble account.

If you bought the bundle for Sims3 check back too. They replaced some Sims 3 keys, and fixed the problems with code redeeming for the Date Night items.

Old News

Just yesterday the Deep Silver Humble Bundle sale ended, and now a day later they bring out the next big thing: The Humble Origin Bundle

5+3 AAA games for less than $5 and all the money goes to charity. EA don’t want and get a single dime!!! This is just epic. So be a good person and give plenty this time. You can still be a dick later when playing those games multiplayer.

Humble Bundle is pay what you want, but to get those keys you need to give at least $1.

(I linked each game to their Steam/Origin store page. So you can check them out quickly.)

Sims 3 Starter Pack includes: The Sims 3 Late Night Expansion Pack, The Sims 3 Date Night and The Sims 3 High-End Loft Stuff.

As always, you can expect they will add next week even more games as bonus to the Bundle. Don’t worry you get them too if you buy now.

You get Origin keys for all these games but you also can get Steam keys for Dead Space, Crysis 2 Maximum Edition, Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate Box, Medal of Honor, and Mirror’s Edge!

HumbleBundle:
Origin and Electronic Arts Inc. are donating their share of the proceeds from this bundle to the following 5 great charities: the Human Rights Campaign; Watsi; the San Francisco AIDS Foundation; the American Red Cross; or the American Cancer Society

It seems from these charities only Watsi is internationally active, the other 4 charities have their focus on the USA.

Really? 1998… I really hope that is a typo and that people do realize that 1998 was a bit late for populous to get released. The game is from 1989.

If this true we can expect Monday some other great titles added to the bundle. I don’t know about Bullet Storm. Anyone? Medal of Honor Airborne is quite short but I had so much fun, I finished it twice. However if they really add Dead Space 2 and Red Alert 3 this would be really great. Adding two other big AAA titles.

My complains are mostly about the software-site. Already downloaded 9% of Battlefield and 3% of DS3 :D

I guess server availability is different from region to region. (Same with Steam. I set my download region in Steam different than were I live.)
Anyway, currently Origin runs pretty smooth now. In the afternoon I could redeem my codes but I didn’t download, as I was still downloading from Steam those games you could redeem there. Now I just finished download Sims 3. It wasn’t full speed, but 1.2 mb/s is good enough.

I was just thinking about all the traffic the Humble Bundle is causing. Lets say 8 games with an average of 8 gb per game, makes 64 gb download from Origin. If you download from Steam as well this are an other 37 gb on top of that, but let’s ignore that for now.
With 950.000 sold bundles so far, that would be roughly ~58 petabyes or 60.800.800 gigabytes.
I don’t want see EA’s this month traffic bill.

Origin suck always. I use it for years. It doesn’t even show current download speeed. Usually it stops downloading. I even recieved few free games from EA and eventually got money back after 3months of their incomepetence to make it work with Crisis 1 and Warhead

I guess EA wanted to promote Origin istead of that everyone now see how shitty Origin is. I managed to activeted only 2games after 12hours of atemts. 4hours of download – only 1,2GB donloaded. Severall freezes and just now origin crashed.
