Insurgency: Sandstorm looks incredible so far!

Source Engine used to be amazing. That was in 2004. These days you games are looking even better but nothing beats Unreal Engine 4. Thankfully New World Interactive knows what’s good and they have just released an amazing amount of concept art from their brand new Insurgency project. If you have no idea what Insurgency is go ahead and get yourself a key from one of the Steam Alternative stores or get it directly on Steam. You can try it out if it’s realistic enough for you, it has a coop mode and a very competitive online community.

But the current state of the game is kind of dull because of the Source Engine. The engine lacks good physics for example, sure Half-Life 2 looked great back then but it’s time to move on! Unreal Engine 4 is amazing. Enough of talking just look at the details below to see what I mean:

Insurgency: Sandstorm is a sequel to Insurgency that is bringing renowned hardcore shooter gameplay to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Steam next year, published by Focus Home Interactive. Also available on Steam, Sandstorm is using the Unreal Engine 4 platform to fulfill the potential of New World’s talented indie team. At its core, Sandstorm features the close-quarters infantry combat for multiplayer and cooperative gameplay that has established Insurgency as a cult classic for over 3 million players on Steam.

New World is also venturing into new territory with a story mode for 4-player cooperative and singleplayer gameplay. A groundbreaking narrative for the shooter genre, the story focuses on a female protagonist. Thematically, Insurgency: Sandstorm is inspired by real events and people, however this is a fictional story and characters.

Sure these are concept arts but I do believe that this company can deliver. Can’t wait for the game or some sort of beta to come out (supposedly by the end of this year).
