Counter-Strike: Global Offensive – $15 on all platforms!

Valve has just announced the launch date of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive: August 21. They’ve also mentioned that CS:GO will cost $15 “on all platforms.”

I’m happy that Valve is not using the 1€ = $1 scheme, lets just hope they will keep their word.

I think the game should be 15 at the first month only, then 100… germans have enough money to cheat!

@slay: Don’t think so because all the Valve’s games so far follow the correct conversion rate.

Anyway, it could be $1.5 but I still wouldn’t buy it. Why? Because I have 3 perfectly good and still popular Counter-Strike iterations on my account already. No reason to buy another one just for graphics sake.

People don’t buy it because they think that Valve’s Steam is a malware, because they still play on 640×480, on Pentium II on CRT screens.

Too bad the cracked / non-steam servers are ruining the whole game since 1.6. You just can’t filter them out, and every second player there is a cheater of some sort. I don’t get it. Even 1.6 costs just a few bucks. Why can’t people buy it? :(

(And why Valve can’t fix this? Stop having cracked servers popping up in the main serverbrowser.)
