Iron Harvest first trailer now available!

You seriously gotta see this one, it’s a strategy (RTS) game for PC and the potato stations. What is it? Giant mechs in alternative 1920’s.  Base building similar to Company of Heroes, what else do you need? Can’t wait to play this one.

You can read more about the game in here.

Check out the trailer below:

Steam update adds library management options and Xbox controller configuration

Two weeks ago Valve released a beta update to the Steam client. They’ve added configuration support for Xbox 360 and Xbox One controllers, along with any generic controllers as well. That feature is now available to everyone!

PlayStation 4 controllers support has been added last month. From now on you can connect and use virtually any console gamepad with Steam.

“Note that because X-Input currently lacks per-controller means of unique identification, all controllers of that type will share personalization and configuration settings,” Valve says. “As they share the same inputs, Xbox 360/One/Generic controllers will all see each-others configurations when browsing. Automatic conversion will be attempted when loading configurations from other controller types.”

But that’s not all, they’ve also added rumble support for Xbox controllers and recognition of more third-party PS4 gamepads, such as: HORI, Madcatz, and Armor pads and flight sticks.

Beyond controller support, the latest Steam client fixes several issues, including one that could cause the client to hang when the computer wakes from sleep mode. Valve also added overlay support for new Windows 10 Insider preview builds and showed some love for Linux with updates and bug fixes.

Additionally if you right-click on a game in your library, you’ll also notice some menu changes. You can no longer “Delete local content” but “Uninstall.”

Another nice addition (and probably most important!) is the ability to move game install folders from the Properties > Local Files menu.

Red Dead Redemption 2 won’t come out on PC?

It seems that Rockstar Games decided to release Red Dead Redemption 2 for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 first, it isn’t all that weird considering they have a history of doing that. The problem is that they might skip PC at all just like they did with Red Dead Redemption back in the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 years.

1920

Sign the petition at change.org and maybe Rockstar is going to listen. Petitions never worked though, so I guess we can at least show there are a lot of us who want the game out on PC.

Watch the trailer below:

I don’t know about you guys but if they are going to release it on consoles only I’m gonna have to buy one with the game and sell as I complete it.

Steam: Sony DualShock 4 support coming soon!

If you happen to be a peasant and own a PlayStation 4 you will be happy to hear that Steam is going to officially support the DualShock controller. Valve announced that on Steam Dev Days so I guess we can expect that feature to be live in early 2017 or right before the winter sale.

The Division’s player count dropped 93% since it’s launch!

I really fucking hated that game after I’ve reached the maximum level. The story part was awful, boring and dull. Coop was somewhat fun, playing with 3 other people is always fun – even if it’s the worst crap, I mean at least you can laugh your ass off. But killing enemies was nowhere near as fun as Borderlands series for example. According to githyp: “At one point, The Division‘s current player count ranked as high as #3 on Steam… now it sits at #43”.

Division Stats

The Dark Zone in this game sounded cool at first, you know you have to roam around with your crew and kill either some bots on the map, which were extremely difficult to kill, or some other “agents”. Turned out other agents are a bunch of assholes using cheats and scripts allowing them to “no clip” the whole map, god mode, infinite ammo etc. The drop that you received after killing the bots was really shitty and not worth your time. They supposedly fixed this after few weeks but none of my friends played this game by then.

Are you still playing The Division?

This game is a bad joke and nothing is going to save it, don’t you buy it even if it’s for $1. I only feel bad for it’s original developers, they had a cool idea and Ubisoft probably fucked it up.

SteamVR Performance Test measures your system’s power

Hey guys, I have no idea if you are following the latest virtual reality boom around the world but I honestly think that’s just a gimmick like PlayStation Move controllers, Xbox Kinect and Wii sport/move games. Everyone knows they are on the market but no one really plays them more than once ;)

Anyway you can now check if your system is VR ready or not. It checks your GPU, CPU using the SteamVR Performance test.

Steam VR

The SteamVR Performance Test measures your system’s rendering power using a 2-minute sequence from Valve’s Aperture Robot Repair VR demo. After collecting the data it determines whether your system is capable of running VR content at 90fps and whether VR content can tune the visual fidelity up to the recommended level. For machines that are not VR Ready the tool can help determine whether capabilities are bound by Graphics Card, CPU, or both.

Are you interested in Virtual Reality at all?

Download the tool from here. You obviously need a Steam account to install this.

SteamVR

HTC recently announced that their VR system is going to be available for pre-order on February 29th. However the product will probably ship around April 2016. Vive (powered by SteamVR software) will cost $799 and it will come with:

  • two wireless controllers,
  • 360 degree tracking
  • room scale movement sensors

PlayStation 4 won’t block used games, says Sony

Before today’s PlayStation 4 announcement, rumors had flown about whether or not Sony would implement a system to block users from playing second-hand games on the console. It wasn’t addressed in the company’s presentation, but now Shuhei Yoshida, President of Sony Worldwide Studios, has denied the reports.

Dual Shock 4

In response to a question by Eurogamer, Yoshida said:

[Consumers] purchase physical form, they want to use it everywhere, right? So that’s my expectation,” before declaring “Used games can play on PS4.”

Maybe they “can play” but what if they charge you for ‘unlocking’ a used copy? Like a code or something… There’s still a lot we don’t know about the PlayStation 4.

Will Microsoft implement a similar system?

PlayStation 4 officially announced

Check out the stream of what they are showing here. So far no optical drive announced, couple of cool features like DDR5 RAM on board (for system and graphics, shared) 8GB which is enough for the current games. They showed the new Killzone, inFAMOUS and a few more. The system UI looks slick, you can stream games to your friends, record them on the fly and the new Dualshock 4 looks pretty good (touchpad and a redesign).
