30 commercial games released for free

Fallout, King’s Quest, Bonk, and more. Download the best titles that companies gave away! Here’s a quote from Games Radar:

We like free stuff. That’s why we posted links to download and play 365 free games so you could have a decent game to play for every day of the year, free of charge. Unfortunately, GamesRadar has yet to wrestle the most formidable type of free games into submission so that they can be preserved in their proper list form for eternity. We’re talking about the free games that were good enough to sell, important enough to review, and memorable enough to warrant a second play through years later.

Luckily, we’ve somehow managed to sort through over a hundred previously-for-sale titles that you can now play for free, and synthesized our list down to just the essential games you’d still want to play. Most of them look dated, for sure, but whether you’re looking for some decent side-scrolling action, nostalgic hits from the golden age of adventure, classic titles of interest, or even MMORPGs, you’re bound to find something in the following pages.

Actually, could anyone download Fallout for free? It looks like you need a subscription for downloads and you can only subscribe for a monthly fee and not for the free pack.

I went throu the list and saw a few nice games like Fallout 1 and Operation Flashpoint Game of Year Editon. I own them both and I can only recommend them. Unfortunately currently the downloads seems to be unavailable.

However there is also Quake Live a.k.a Quake 3 Area. Still one of best Multiplayer shooters because it’s gameplay is 100% skill. It’s quite simple, if you suck, you die. But with every death you learn from your mistakes and to be at your best.

If you are really hard-core and have some knowledge of of DOSBox x86 emulator try It came from the Desert. I had so much fun with this game on an Amiga when I was a little kid of 7 or 8.
