I’ve stumbled upon this great article (and rehosted the images) while browsing reddit and copy pasted it, hope he doesn’t mind. It looks like 2011 is going to be a great year for both PC and console gaming (if they won’t fuck the games up…).

lol… you really take yourself / gaming / me that seriously? you shouldn’t (especially not me), it will make your life easier :)

btw isn’t it great that we all can have our own oppinion and freedom of speech? wonderful.

@Stranded: I’m surprised that you haven’t heard of Adrian Werner before. He’s Polish and makes these lists since ~2005

    Well.. where should I start..

If anyone thinks this list is useless then please ignore it and DO NOT share your ‘educated’ opinion with us.

It’s hardly surprising that someone, like mr. friday here, would do anything but complain about the list.
If you would have checked the blog(see source) you’d have realized how much work has been put into making it. You, as a 30 year old adult with ‘real’ life, would ‘understand’ that it takes precious time to make this kind of lists, not only to post them but to find the games that worth mentioning. Something that, of course, you would be incapable of doing and thus you complain about it..

And again, if you would have read the blog(not only 2011) you would have found many interesting games even for your ‘exquisite’ taste radically different from the masses…

Remember: this list wasn’t made for you. So, either help to improve or sit up your ass and complain.

    > “how can you limit yourself to playing Portal 2 only?”
    i don’t :) as you’ll find when you read my 2 posts again ;)

    > “but Portal wasn’t really that great”
i disagree. as everything that’s subjective (of course ^^), but i found that game just AWESOME, one of the best games in the year it was released. don’t see anything done poorly. i’m pretty sure many others think the same – it doesn’t have a metascore of 90 and many awards for nothing.

i agree about postal 3, it’s not sure yet when that rws basterds will release it :-D

    > I don’t fucking believe them
    heretic! xD ;)

  6. stranded Avatar

mr. friday how can you limit yourself to playing Portal 2 only? Excuse me, but Portal wasn’t really that great, it was a cool idea done very poorly.

I’m gonna add Duke there as long as it’s 100% sure (I don’t fucking believe them). And Postal 3 is still a fuzzy thing, it was suppose to come out this year..

Might call me a troll too then, hehe :-p

The list needs a bit of an update. Project MyWorld is dead in the water – went all R.I.P with APB & Realtime Worlds

    My FTW List:
    Subversion
    Portal 2
    Microsoft Flight

    Secondary FTW list:
    Duke Nukem Forever
    Max Payne 3
    Crysis 2

  9. mr. friday Avatar
    mr. friday

uhm please… what is trolling about my post?

that my taste is different from the masses and that i – as a working 30 year old adult with a real life – don’t have time to play >10 games per year? ok then call me a troll, i’ve been called worse ;)

i’m sure there will also be one or more adventure by telltale i’ll have to get next year :) which isn’t known yet and the masses don’t care a lot about. partially the back to the future games if you count the episodes separately, first one most likely will launch this year. and i have the feeling there might be another monkey island (at least i want to believe it) xD

but duke nukem forever is obvious and mass market target… i can’t pardon they forgot it ;) duke will kick his ass :-D

btw the list is not by stranded – it’s from the source he mentioned at the end of this article.

WOW! n1 stranded! I’m going to bookmark this and use it at time passes by. I will also share it with my friends. really good list. thks.

    p.s. don’t mind friday. he’s obviously a troll. :)

  11. Kossak Avatar

I want DIABLO III f***k all other games! :)
Ok, if the price drops meaningly i’ll get Portal 2 probably.-

  12. mr. friday Avatar
    mr. friday

lol someboday was able to make a list with games i mostly absolutely don’t care about, amazing xD

the only game i’ll get from it 100% sure is portal 2! looks awesome and i loved postal 1.

ok… maybe rage, xcom, alice 2, max payne 3 and deus ex 3 (depends upon reviews and/or demo).

but my two most highly awaited games due to release in 2011 weren’t even listed:
    – DUKE NUKEM FOREVER :)
    – Postal III :-D

ok let’s call postal “special interest” *g* but i can’t believe they forgot the duke :-p

  13. GyokZoli Avatar
    GyokZoli

Wow, I won’t have enough money to buy all games I’d like to.
