Swords & Soldiers coming to Steam

I don’t know who called this a RTS game (?) but it looks fine, like a bunch of flash games I played in the past. Look at the trailer:

Swords & Soldiers HD Trailer

The original game came out on Wii but right now it’s going to be released on PlayStation Network and Steam, here are the PC features:

Just as the recently announced PlayStation®Network version, the PC version offers:

– 30 ridiculols campaign levels (yes ridicuLOLs)
– 3 very distinct factions: the Vikings, Aztecs and Chinese
– Deeply integrated online multiplayer mode
– Online leaderboard-enabled challenge modes
– Accessible yet deep RTS gameplay
– Lush 2D HD graphics
– New extended soundtrack
– Customizable Skirmish modes

Additionally, the PC version will feature Steam Achievements and the original cursor based control scheme. Whereas the PlayStation Network version will feature Trophies and a revamped dual analog control scheme.

It’s an RTS but not in the top down kind we’re all used to. I’ve played the WiiWare version (and it’s about the one of the few decent games I’ve ever played on my Wii). Basicly you build soldiers that automatically move towards your enemies base. The strategy balancing the different soldiers versus the enemy, working with limited resources and timing.

I Might aswell pick it up on Steam aswell. It’s good fun :)
