But on Steam we have a discount (!) of approximately 2 dollars/2 euros - $=€ for them after all right? ARMA II on Steam:…

EU Commission proposal wants two-year guarantee for games

Pretty interesting read: European game developers are up in arms about a recent EU Commission proposal that, if approved, would require devs to abide by the EU Sales and Guarantees Directive, a rule that mandates "a minimum 2-year guarantee on tangible movable consumer goods." While this guarantee sounds great for consumers, Dr. Richard Wilson, head of game developer advocacy group Tiga, is worried it may "stifle new ideas as [fusion_builder_container…

Przelicznik cen

Only for Polish users.

Braid

If you like games like Mario Brothers go ahead and buy Braid on Steam. The author made it clear (on his blog or something) that he wants those prices to be equal around the world. And guess what, they are! Although this IS weird: Edit: The prices are equal, don't forget we, European folks, always had to pay the VAT. Excluding Norway and other non-VAT-paying countries.

Not only € = $…

According to Valve: 7.1GB = 3.3GB ... Oh and you may think? WTF why 7GB? Well Steam cannot use diffs. All patches for Company of Heroes (and a bunch of other games) use diffs, diffs (I guess it's from the word: difference) are files that look for original files and add new content to them. But Steam needs all files redownloaded all over again after every patch, it cannot add…
