Apprently Valve is about to release their “version” of DOTA very soon, they already registered the DOTA mark (see here) and few hours ago they registered DOTA 1 and DOTA 2 marks.
Do you think Valve should produce the whole trilogy? I personally think that’s not such a good idea because I don’t want another Left 4 Dead series…I mean the content, re-playability and all of course both games are very different.

Steam/Valve aren’t greedy or stuff, they just realized this is the only way to do in the -industry-, the idealist “build a community overtime” ideology burned down in flames 1 year ago, just forget about it :D
They saw good ideas from other people, now the want it. They NEED new ideas because they cannot have new one themself. And doing that they prefer to be save and prepare a series of more of the same that will kill each other release after release. Sad.

Look at all those remakes, even in movie industry, same thing – people know already old titles and buy/watch them.

MOBA games are very playable and addictive, to this degree that you can play one game and one map (sic! best regards for cod players and map packs :)) for years and still be surprised by it.
