    glubbar: you!
you are the evil one who wrote that BF:BC2 is the best deal ever and I fell to that and bought the package!

    But I don’t regret it. Yet :)

Personally, my favourite promotion was Battlefield: Bad Company 2. Was waiting for a sale on that title for some time, and it finally happened.

I don’t see anything bad with this sale and marketing trick.

I have a feeling some polls are a bit wonky imo but other than that, NEED MOAR POLLS on this site. ;D

It’s nice to see some sales, the only problem is that most prices on Steam are only reasonable during sales, so it’s not like the games are that cheap. Like Portal 2. Valve can’t blame publishers or retailers on this one, but it was €25/€22.50 (two pack. didn’t save much, interesting enough. Other bundles in the past had nearly 50% of sometimes, or four packs with the fourth one for free) during the sale, where it was supposedly super cheap, while you can get it on Amazon for €32. Yes, thats more, but it’s not on sale either.

The packs are something different, but i don’t buy something just because it’s cheap, why would i spent €50 on a pack when i only want a single game or something? Or if i already have half the stuff.

Also, they did not really use that many games for the tickets, so they allowed the people who got the rid games to rack up tickets, but othes were left out. Obviously you could buy it, but they should use a more equal distribution over all publishers, genres etc.

Tl;dr: It’s not half as good as it’s supposed to be, but not half as bad as its without sales.

    That was just amazing.
Twice per year – winter and summer sales (+ one more, but I do not remember when)) I’m VERY proud owner of gamer PC)
    And company packs….that’s just UNBELIVABLE.

Well as Kossak says – till next year i have to find time to play all these games.
