Valve revealed that players can expect more DLC after the upcoming “Crash Course,” Shacknews reports.
As one of the L4D2 boycotters reported in one of announcements on Left 4 Dead 2 Boycott group profile, the next DLC will contain either, “a new Special Infected, a new Campaign or new Weapon(s).”
Maybe Valve isn’t that evil after all? Or maybe they just got scared of those thousands of angry potential customers?
We’ll see.

yea, i will buy it.. if it will cost 5€ (five €) or less :). I’m not going to pay more for the same game, with changed tuxtures, few new weapons/infected/maps.
Probably $20.
I wonder what it will cost on G2PLAY?

To me DLC are just a “bonus”, an extra.
It’s nice of them to keep them coming but if they completely stopped making them now, I wouldn’t mind at all. L4D is already a nicely completed game and doesn’t really require much to be added.
Of course having a little extra campaign and stuffs, that’s pretty cool. But I would not whine at Valve to make them create more DLC.
It’s also very nice of them to have made all the past DLC free.
So now if they want to make L4D2, I’m ok with that. But I still don’t like the price policy. L4D2 shouldn’t be above 30€. And if it is, I won’t buy it. Period.
You misunderstand the reason of the complain.
First, it’s not “we wanted a DLC”, but “they promised DLC” and with a lot of stuff I could add. They talked about support community, add plenty of things, don’t let the game die.
As they said that they already planned to kill a full paid game longevity by developing an updated versione od that to relese less than a year after. This will break community that in a online game it’s vital and need more than a year to consolidate.
In this months they acted with arrogance in dealing with community just because they didn’t like that community don’t like liars.
Now they have to change some of their behavior but want to keep a clean face, in a subtle way.
Few thinks L4D2 will be bad, the point is, it’s an updated version of L4D that will strip the first game from a lot of things, starting with community, and implementing all the things that was promised for L4D for free but making people pay. If now they release something that they gain from the developement of L4D2 (that’s what they rip, L4D2 content) to make it seem they are supporting L4D, than that’s a thing to complain about.
Dont understand why you complain. First you want a DLC, then you get it BUT you’re still complaining that they “ripped it off something”. Besides, you dont have to buy L4D2, you can just play the first one with few DLCs
And then they could say “as we promised…” with their usual nerve.
It’s obvious from where that come and I assume that it’s easy to add something now that the sequel is full developed and they have plenty of things to rip from.
