Here’s why Steam has the worst customer support

Someone on reddit posted a Steam Support conversation (the whole ticket) which is fucking outrageous. The guys seems to have some sort of problems reactivating his account and they want him to give the scan of original Half-Life box… which is 15 years old. He offered all sorts of other valid proofs and they just keep on ignoring him.

RAAAAGE

See the Steam support conversation in here.

One of the main reason of why Steam was even created was the ability to keep everything online and get rid of the pointless CDs or DVDs.

I think I have my Half-Life 2 box laying somewhere but who the hell keeps those really old boxes while most of us gamers just buy the games online?

Who keeps old boxes? Probably people with an IQ over 63. Those who understand what storage is, with the ability to categorize? Maybe understand that the key is important? So many reason to keep them, i mean if you cant even keep a god damn box then how are you going to remember your account name, email and password? Oh you can do that? But not a fucking box? That is bad

Also proof of purchase from third party sites? Oh wow, that can so fucking easily get hacked due to idiots with weak passwords? That is a recipe for fucking disaster. There is a reason why you would ask for a specific key

Valve might be bad but dont blame them for stupid things that the user has caused.

it’s like when they removed MOLpoint to be a payment method without any announcement for the user in SEA area.
