Okay, lets talk about Steam Treasure Hunt that is running now from 6th Dec until 20th Dec.

 

PS. Somebody gave a hint not to delete demo or game after completing a treasure, better delete unnecessary junk (like buggy Undergarden, where you have to change regional settings to English/Canada, wtf, man?!) after 20th Dec.

 

Last challenge! – 18th – 19th Dec Objectives

  • Write a recommendation

  • Become a Founding Father in Empire: Total War (-50% discount with unfair 1$ = 1€ price)

  • Set a leaderboard score of at least 37 for ‘Beach’ in Flight Control HD (-50% discount with fair price)

  • Played at least 15 games or demos since March 2009 (When Steam began recording playtime)

    Um, guise?
    Have any of you bought Shatter?
    I can’t seem to get the Bonus Mode unlocked… (I googled it, and I should be able to play it after completing Kinetic Harvest.)

    I realy don’t care about this trasure hunt, i already own more than 100 games and this practically a hunt for OUR money.

    This is stupid. I will buy a game only if i like it and the price is ok, (and wtf, mw2 60eur atfer all this time?! come on, the retail box is ~30 eur in local stores :)) greedy son’s of b*tches )

    Q2 : 2/4 – 2/4 – 1/4

    Q3 : 1 ( Chime for 1€ )

    Q4 : 5 objectives

    Q5 : somewhat “yes”, the open chest with the golden coins falling is kinda funny

    Q6 : Red Orchestra 2 > Brink > Portal 2 > Deus Ex 3 > Ruse (nb : most wanted AND expensive for the last 4)

    2. All except the Mafia one. I was trying to complete every achievement. Even bought FO: New Vegas, but hell, I’m not buying Mafia II. I have money, but after Mafia what will come? Some shit expansive game like COD?

    I hope that i manage to get 10 treasures without buying gamest that i don’t need (or i won’t play more than 2 times). I rather save my money for the Christmas deals.

    Q4: What’s the difference between Q4 and Q2? :/
    Q5: That’s along the way, so yeah.
    Q6: Fallout: NV, CoD:BO, Civ V, ME2, Borderlands GOTY or Darksiders, can’t decide.

    Anyway, I LOVE this treasure hunt, and I think they should do this more often. Discounts for awesome games + excitement about new objectives and new discounts + AWESOME PRIZES (holy mother of mother, A HUNDRED GAMES!! ). I love the whole concept of this. Also, when you buy a game for the objective, you can look at it as a lottery ticket AND a great discounted game! (except the Undergarden abomination)

    undergarden is a fail, however it works for me without any tweaking.. worked at least when i had it installed

    None yet, and probably won’t buy any. I would have liked R.U.S.E., but 33€ is waaaay too much for me. Note: it was ~23€ for the rest of teh world..

    Dawn of War II: Retribution, Warhammer 40000: Space Marine, Deus Ex: Human Revolution, HOMEFRONT(from the makers of Frontlines: Fuel of War and BF1942 mod Desert Combat), Nuclear Dawn
    Sadly i can’t put Men of War: Assault Squad on the list, but the Emperor provides!, so no problem.

    @topic: i cant participate, as i have 2 steam accounts…. fuck this :(
    i wonder if it only counts for empty accounts, as i have 2 accounts with either 150 and 10 games on them….

    Undergarden demo crashed here too.
    Will try to change system format(?) to English (Canada) like slay said…
