Red Orchestra Ost Front hasn’t any crosshair (and we’re all very happy they didn’t “added” such horrible things in that tactical WW2 shooter). The original Red Orchestra mod did NOT have any crosshair. It’s the same for Killing Floor : it’s designed and balanced around the lack of crosshair and the ironsight. The original Killing Floor did NOT have any crosshair. The design choice is simple : for accurate shots, you have to aim down the iron sights/scope, for hip-shooting you have to guess where the hit will land. In Red Orchestra Ost Front, there’s also the free-aim system, so your rifle isn’t aiming at the center of screen all the time. For Killing Floor, they simplified the system by keeping the rifle line of sight with the center of the screen. The lack of crosshair is much better for immersion (and realism regarding Red Orchestra), while it only requires a very small amount of actual aiming skill to compensate for the lack of crosshair. After practising for 2 or 3 hours, the lack of crosshair is no longer a problem. Sound it like you got a pair (of gonads) and deal with it. He was talking to people with 3 years old GPU (like the GTX 260) setting everything to max (“ultra”) and later complaining about low framerate. He also add he perfectly knows there is some “performance issue” (aka “shitty optimization and crashes”), that they’re working on fixing it. I too preordered the game, enjoyed the crashes and bugs in beta, enjoyed even MORE crashes and bug in the official release version. Even now, 3 october, the game is still a buggy mess (less crashes though) : fps drops still there, sound crash, slow memory leak (on the audio component apparently). I play on low-medium with a GTX 460 and Phenom II X4 840, get 40 to 50 fps when everything is okay, around 20 fps when the game is bugging. We’re still waiting for patches, I just hope that after christmas the game will be in a decent non-buggy state. I know TWI screwed up the release, but I still believe they can do the rest of the support right. @ Germ What ?! Tripwire being crap devs ? o_o Loading bugs could be solved through reinstalling the game/modifying the .ini file, and wasn’t affecting most users. The grenade bug rarely happens, you can prevent it by avoiding throwing grenade when a teamate or an invisible stalker specimen is near you (sometime collision detection zone is a bit large) and moving backward after throwing a nade, to see if it didn’t drop on your feet. Achievements were fixed (few bugs remains), but are you seriously considering achievements an important feature of a game ?! o_O Also, advertisements was an experiment, it NEVER featured a non-Tripwire Interactive product. When the map is changed (joining a server doesn’t trigger that), it display in the bottom-left corner a very small video for Red Orchestra or the $2 Killing Floor skins DLC for 5 seconds. OMG such irritating ads ! Rate this item:1.002.003.004.005.00Submit Rating No votes yet. Please wait... Germ 25 Sep 2011 Reply I never liked Tripwire as developers. They can’t be arsed to make dynamic crosshairs so they tell us they are doing us a favor by removing them altogether in all their games. In Killing Floor It took them like 2 years to fix a loading-hang bug, they never fixed a grenade bug where it would explode right where you were when you threw it instead of where it fell, and there are bugged achievements that most people will never be able to get. Also it has advertisements with loud and irritating sound. I don’t pay for a game to watch ads motherfuckers! Rate this item:1.002.003.004.005.00Submit Rating No votes yet.
