Weekend Deals (28.08.09)

Here we go:

Update: Steam Call of Juarez 2 and Rebellion games added.

Steam

Call of Juarez 2 is 25% off although it’s as usual…54% more in Europe (excl. UK 22% higher). We encourage to get this one from your friends in USA or outside Europe.

Rebellion deal is up, Sniper Elite is equally priced in Europe (excluding UK) and the rest of those games are at least 44% more expensive in Europe and at least 14% in the UK.

THQ collector pack is 25% off!

WARNING: Only the whole collector pack is 25% off not individual games.
Additionally this pack is overpriced in Europe (over 43% higher price than in USA) – excluding United Kingdom where it’s 14% cheaper than in USA. If you have friends in UK or USA we encourage you to get a gift from them – otherwise you should skip that offer, especially when you can buy Dawn of War 2 a lot cheaper by browsing Steam Alternatives. Also if you’re from Germany you’re even more fucked than the rest of us – you will get two games less for the same price!

Also there’s a new game on Steam AaaaaAAaaaAAAaaAAAAaAAAAA!!! – A Reckless Disregard for Gravity and it’s priced not that bad:

US: $13.49
UK: £8.99 (9% higher)
EU: 9,89€ (5% higher)

Plus you get the other game for free (and it’s 40% more expensive in Europe as an individual game so it is worth it…).

Try the demo of this game here.

Not technically a deal, but you should not get deceived with this announcement:

Over a dozen classic Ubisoft games are now available to customers worldwide, including two titles new to Steam. Among the titles are Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Chaos Theory, The Prince of Persia series, Silent Hunter 4, and titles from The Settlers series.

Newly available titles are 10% off until September 3. Please visit the Ubisoft publisher page for a listing of all recent additions.

All Ubisoft titles are at least 28% more expensive in Europe and surprisingly high in UK – at least 31% more than in USA. Steam Unpowered does not recommend getting any of those games on Steam if you live in Europe – however we encourage you to call your friends outside Europe and get some gifts because some of those games are good and worth buying.

Trine is nice game but even GameSpot said in their review that it is overpriced game :(

I like it, but as seen the gameplay videos, with all those tricks they made, I don’t think that it is really for me :)

Wise choice. Having someone in eu that can purchase in dollar will come in handy.
I’m tempted to ask you to buy Trine for me.

For European Trine is 22.49 EURO. It’s a publisher decision I think, but it’s right to point that.

I will work on the font size today, just didn’t have time for this site lately.

I can put Gamers Gate deals too, why not? Will start from next week.

How come the font for the prices are so small? You should probably make them bigger.
Also as for the price difference, if it’s only 5 to 10% above the US price, to me it’s almost fair, so it probably doesn’t need the red font, rather orange or even green would do in my opinion.
