More than 60FPS can’t be displayed by the monitor, so you won’t notice the difference between 60 and 80. However it could be because at a framerate of more than 60FPS you have a high chance on a effect called tearing. You should enable V-Sync if you consistently get more than 60FPS.

Shattered Horizon is a game that tries to deliver the best video quality available, they won’t give up any of that quality for performance on low-end PCs. While BioShock 2 is a game that tries to get a decent quality/performance trade-off so even people only low-end PCs can play it.

    I don’t mind if there’s 25fps, not 60 ;) Well, I have a friend with uber-epic-super computer, I’ve played on it for a while and now I know I can’t play with more than 60fps, with 80 and more I become no-skill :o

Anyway, minimum requirements sometimes are just… too high? BioShock 2 works perfectly on my computer.

yep.. cpu is fine now, even ram is enough, but you need to get better vidcard, like ati hd4850-4890 or nvidia gtx260-285 ..depending how much graphical quality you want to play in.

Your 8500GT is the problem ;-)

And 2GB ram is kinda low for it. Remember that 3DMark people created it ;-)

I didn’t like the beta anyway, it lagged on Sempron 2800+, GF8500GT and 1.25gb ram, it wasn’t fun for me…
Specially for this game I’ve installed Win7… wasn’t worth it.
Maybe this time it will run better on Core i5, gf8500gt and 2gb ram.

the game looks stunning and is really fun after you get the hang of it and this weekend it will be insanly cheap.. plus you get any new addons like the latest one for free.. must buy;)
