Well, it seems that:
a) Steam Store is up and running
b) all of the sudden all holiday sales are not here (those were available at least 1 hour ago, few people seen it)

Mmh probably they think that the availability of games from EA in steam are the gift of Christmas XD

I’m not entirely certain, but I’ve checked the prices on some games, like Left4Dead, SPORE and a couple of others, and it’s still unchanged. My prices are in Euro, I see your examples uses dollar.
If I’m not mistaken, this means that those who uses dollars, get this discount in addition while europe get screwed over once again.
