Left 4 Dead 2 – more info

The players are a little marvel, when at a conference the company Microsoft has shown the continuation of Valve game Left 4 Dead – suddenly after a few months ago appeared on the “number one”. The creators explain, however, that they do not want to do (already) in a series of tasiemca.

Chet Faliszek from Valve declares: “First Left 4 Dead, had a few things already in the grounds that we wanted to change (…), which took awfully long time, plus the game really long passes testing. And so these changes coincided with a long period the leaves to create characters and everything else. So why do 2 Left 4 Dead, huh? ”

Interestingly, Valve sees as a platform to continue to play, which later you can quickly expand to include new things, such as next DLC pack. “Not found anything yet, but we look at the options and look at Left 4 Dead 2 as a basis on which we build” – the Chet. Thus in the game are likely to find things that are already for various reasons decided not to enter.

The team already think of the fun even further … Which adds once there.

Yeah, a good way to abandon the first game and get some more money. Don’t forget to overprice it as well.

Where is Counter-Strike 2.0? where is Half-Life: Episode Three? Where is Portal 2? Where are ORIGINAL and fresh ideas?!

It seems Turtle Rock (renamed Valve South) studio did “most” of the L4D “1”, then Valve (Bellevue, Washington) decided to make their OWN L4D version.

So they just picked up L4D “1”, modded it a little to add community ideas (without thanking nor telling them), put a L4D “2” sticker on it and a 50€ price tag.

Valve (Bellevue, Washington) think it’s perfectly normal to have 2 version of the same game, like Pokemon with the Red/Blue, Silver/Gold, Pearl/Diamond versions.

Imagine a 2K Boston GTA, 2K Australia GTA, 2K Czech GTA, etc… in the same year. That’s it.

Needless to say, 50€ each (60€ for the xbox360 version).

    1) “Yeah, a good way to abandon the first game and get some more money.”
They never supported L4D 1. Valve (Bellevue, Washington) in fact never planned to support L4D1 and release free updates. They let TurtleRock studios do this job. Gabe lied when he said it was going to be like with TF2.

=> Turtle Rock did L4D1, a team @ Valve (Bellevue, Washington) did TF2. Different teams, different “studios”, different customer relationship policy.

More money ? well, the $1=1€ fiasco sums it up.

    2) “Don’t forget to overprice it as well”
Valve (Bellevue, Washington) believe their own L4D version is a new game, as they’re not related to Valve South (aka Turtle Rock). Yes it’s stupid, it’s just a L4D mod, plus they claimed L4D was Valve, then said the opposite.

    3) “Where is Counter-Strike 2.0? where is Half-Life: Episode Three? Where is Portal 2? Where are ORIGINAL and fresh ideas?!”

CS 2 : they don’t like CS, they did CS:S to boost the sales and get full IP, but they’re not into CS at all. They bought it for the money.

Episode 3 : Valve’s time. They don’t know what to do with the episodes structure, it seems they want to release full priced HL3 instead.

Portal 2 : IMO they’re keeping it in a safe, in case of emergency, if they run out of new ideas.
