Hey, just wanted to give everyone a heads-up about the amazon.com pricing policy. As you know most Steam prices are more expensive for Europeans (unless you live in he UK) than for Americans… I do not recommend buying those games on Steam. However amazon.com is selling many of the same games, and at the same price as in the US steam store. If they have it in stock, they will in most cases match the prize, and often you will get a Steam code, but in some cases there will be other DRM (but the price remains the same). This is ALWAYS the case, not just during a sale. If you want it cheaper you can always use cd-key sites, but if you want to play it as safe as possible, use amazon.
To purchase digital games from Amazon US, make an Amazon account (this could also be a amazon.co.uk account), and add a US billing address to your account. This address needs to be a “valid” US address (just google a postal code and invent the rest). Nothing will be sent there, and you can access all your games and codes through their website. If it’s a steam copy you will also get an e-mail with the code. You can use a european credit card without problems.
So PLEASE stop supporting Steam’s unfair pricing policy. I don’t understand why people keep throwing money at them. 99% of the time there is a cheaper option somewhere else. Whether it’s at amazon or cd-key sites.
