Electronic Arts lost 641 million dollars

The Inquirer:
US GAME maker Electronic Arts is reporting a net loss for the eighth quarter in a row.

It might be the biggest games publisher with a large number of success stories but for some reason it lost $641 million for the three months that ended in December. This is even worse than the net loss of $33 million for the same period a year ago.

The problem is compounded by the outfit’s decision to release some big titles, including The Sims 3, Godfather 2 and Dragon Age, in 2010 rather than in fiscal 2009.

I hope the European Commission forces them to reimburse the users that payed the high prices in Euro. I know people that want a Left4Dead license, but they wait for a better moment to buy it. Valve manages money way better than EA. EA is now suffering from previously released games that don’t attract gamers like they used to (FIFA and NFS series at least). There has always been a long time between games at Valve…
