Direct2Drive: 5 Year Anniversary – 50 cheap games

logoD2DTurns5UK

It’s kinda hard to believe that Direct2Drive is already 5 years old – but it’s true and on this occasion 50 games are for $5 or £5 in Europe (which is still a great deal).

The first wave of promotion are so called “favorites” on Direct2Drive:

Civilization 4
Sid Meier’s Railroads!
X-Com Complete Bundle
Empire Earth II and III
Empire Earth 2: The Art of Supremacy

Promotion for these games available since 08.09.09 until 14.09.09.

More games are coming up really soon! For more details click here!

This site was created as a protest group against Steam selling games at a 1€=1$ rate. Now D2D is doing the same and what is the respond? “A great deal”

@Gokburt yeah most games have regional restrictions there.

Civilization IV: This title is available for purchase in the United States, Canada, Mexico, and the United Kingdom only. -__-

i would buy 2 US games, but UK version really sucks. When i saw the difference i thought that i better stay away from D2D. Even on they twitter they make contests only for US and “apoligize our non-US players”. If D2D f***s non-US players i will do the same to them :)

Yep but at least we have one, right? :)

It’s too bad the selection of games for the UK not only is poorer but smaller too.

6 vs 10 games and the US gets all the good (or just better) games like “Advanced Warfighter 2”, “Warhammer 40000 GOTY”, “Call or Juarez”, Far Cry”, etc.

And of course… $5 = £3 not £5 but alas, that’s the lesser problem. The UK game selection SUCKS!
