Depeche Mode music in Left 4 Dead 2

Some time ago we find out that the Left 4 Dead 2 will have many references to the band Depeche Mode, including their music. The band’s manager decided to explain this weird idea.

left_4_DM.jpgIt is not difficult to imagine that it’s all about the money. Johnathan Kessler explains that the purpose of implementing the band’s music in Left 4 Dead 2 is an attempt to broaden the audience of their music and to attract younger listeners.

However the strange thing is, Kessler said that there are currently no plans to release any tracks or other stuff on Guitar Hero or Rock Band.

    L4D Two goes eighties.
    I find it rather funny to attract younger players with oldies from the last millennial. Maybe I get my dad to play L4D when he hear the L4D Two theme music.
    He was a great fan of the 20th Century of the 2nd Millennium. I prefer more the present of the 21th Century of the 3rd Millennium but I guess I’m not cool. :)
