Price Guide
Price Guide by TZer0 and Whorus
Conditions of purchase may vary.
Notes:
Feel free to link directly to the guide, it is located here, don’t copy the page, just link to it, I update it after drastic price changes/every day/new items are available in the store. Just link back to this page so that people can see the update-log and source (under the price guide works just fine).

Updates:
03.06.2010 – Fixed the “*On sale*“-indicators not showing up for Steam-games.
21.05.2010 – Fixed buggy URLs (damn, that was a stupid bug)
28.04.2010 – Added support for the new Steam layout, added multi-threading to the script, it now does everything quicker.
22.03.2010 – Added (unfair) Australian prices, cheers, mates! (thank seb2net for this)
30.12.2009 – Fixed 1932 XHTML-errors as well as 37 warnings. Added support for gog’s different prices.
05.12.2009 – More fixes in script. The script should now catch even more identical products with different names across different stores.
03.12.2009 – Removed unavailability indicators for Steam, made script handle similar names, so that it detects identical games with different names across shops.
17.11.2009 – Temporarily removed the visualization.
15.11.2009 – Made script easier to mod, implemented correct use of arrays.
12.10.2009 – Fixed some bugs related to different names in different shops.
11.10.2009 – Added support for impulsedriven.com!
29.09.2009 – More improvements on script (CPU-heavy party reduced by another 85% on top of that 66% reduction earlier, down to approx. 6% of original), added correct support for Anno 1404 and 3 other games with different names in different zones, as well as support for games that are not available in the US.
28.09.2009 – More improvements on the visual version, script updated to reduce the string-comparison CPU-heavy part by 66%.
27.09.2009 – Whorus has today provided me with a new feature which allows for a visual presentation of the prices. This has been added to all non-package Steam-products! Added target=”_blank” to all links.
17.09.2009 – Fixed prices with “- -” in them.
08.09.2009 – Removed “GoG: this product is not available” from products where GoG doesn’t have a corresponding one in their store. After all, there were more than 800 items not available in GoG’s store that were available through Steam and that text was rather repetitive and redundant!
29.08.2009 – Added an indicator to whether an item is on sale (*On sale*) Fixed a bug with the *On sale*-tag thanks to seb2net (Call of Juarez®: Bound in Blood was shown as on sale in the EU and UK while it was only on sale in the US).
26.08.2009 – Fixed IL-2 Sturmovik: 1946 being displayed as two items + fixed Kingpin (properly this time!)
19.08.2009 – The script now handles Fallout 1, Fallout 2, Fallout Tactics and Kingpin correctly.
17.08.2009 – Upgraded the script. It now handles the FTP-upload automatically meaning the script is more or less automated from beginning to end. Many thanks to Sortie for making me do this! % is now correctly displayed. Changed the green-color from 00ff00 to 00d000 to make it more readable
12.08.2009 – Made the script print UTC±0-time instead of UTC+1
08.08.2009 – Fixed a html-bug found by Snute. Thanks! (he actually fixed it more or less too)
05.08.2009 – Added support for GoG.com. New logic: green numbers show that this product is worth buying in a given region or place, whilst red means the opposite. Fixed bugged characters in some browsers.
03.08.2009 – Script now supports the East India Company: Pirate Bay-DLC in the all games list (script stopped when it met this entry, now it ignores it). Font set to verdana in the list. Font-size set to 75%.
24.07.2009 – Script now outputs the information with html-tags.
10.07.2009 – Script now acquires currency rates automatically, not from xe.com.
01.07.2009 – Dreams come true (yeah, joking), the script now only does 1/25 of the HTTP-requests which makes the script use about 4 minutes to complete, instead of 25 minutes + manual url-retrieval. The script now handles ® and ™ correctly.
23.06.2009 – Fixed correct alphabetical order (example: Bloodrayne 2 was listed before Bloodrayne), will be visible in next update.
22.06.2009 – Added the different European price zones, this has caused the number of URL-requests to rise by 2/3.
19.06.2009 – Script automatically detects date and time and includes it in the output.
05.06.2009 – Added a decimal place for the percentage, fixed some script issues, cut down the amount of HTTP-requests by 1/4.
18.05.2009 – Removed the summary, will fix it soon.
13.05.2009 – Counting correctly priced games, number of unavailable games and much more.
09.05.2009 – Fixed some more urls, UK prices should now be working correctly.
Planned Updates:
- A separate site, an API for you to use and lots more. Will probably do it this summer (2010) – stay tuned!
- Support for G2play.net,
impulsedriven.com, direct2drive.com (can’t do d2d until they change their User Agreement which prohibits data scraping) andgog.com(may require contacting the admins of these sites). I’ll be releasing this part by part and soon this list will show prices from these shops as well as Steam.
