Sorry guys for late post, I was in Latvia til Friday late evening.
Few handpicked news:
Steam has over 30 million users; CoD: Black Ops with Steamworks; Civ 5 DLC coming on 25th Oct; Trine 2 coming in spring 2011; 80% willing to play with 3D glasses; WoW Cataclysm min. requirements; Microsoft brings out “Steam rival”, it looks more like GoG + EA new EADM hybrid; Fallout Online on second half of 2012;
But now let’s see what our friends have to offer.
APB Steam refund update
25/09/2010 in Digital Distribution, News
If you bought APB from Steam, apparently EA are now offering a free game as a refund. Valve put up a brick wall, but EA are making up for the fact that customer who bought their game ended up with nothing to show for it.
If you contact them through this site, and tell them you’d like another game to replace APB, they will give you any game currently available on the EA Store. I don’t think that they will let you get preorders, but it’s worth a shot.
You can pick from the likes of Mass Effect 2, Dragon Age: Origins, Spore, The Saboteur, Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate Box, Battlefield: Bad Company 2 and all sorts of other stuff.
Thanks to CHooligans for the heads up.
Recently the multiplayer mode of Medal of Honor faced criticism for allowing the player to take the Taliban side, thus killing US soldiers.
I won’t comment the moral ethics to portray an ongoing conflict nor if it wise too, but interesting to read is what real soldiers think that have to face the Taliban everyday.
GamrFeed interviewed 9 fighting soldiers, men and women alike about their opinion and how they feel about it.

Here’s an E3 2010 line up list. It was supposed to be confidential…
Update: Here’s more thanks to Dragoon – http://abstract360.com/2010/05/rumor-e3-2010-line-up-leaked/
Update 2: Confirmed fake! http://twitter.com/jeffgerstmann/status/13410527050
*UPDATE* 522175 is going live now. STEAM will launch later, possibly tomorrow, as it needs to go through extra QA before it goes live on Steam.
Version 522175 is going live within a couple of minutes. This has fixed the multiplayer map CTD’s we experienced with 522174.
[NOTE: 522175 is merely a re-packaging of the datafiles from 522174. Therefore, version 522175 reports itself as 522175 in the auto-patcher, but does still say "522174" in the game's splash screen.]
In addition, the Steam version will no longer have SecuROM. The patch is going through Steam compatibility testing as soon as possible. The patch is backward compatible. (We are not updating the servers, only the game clients.) So old & new game clients can play with each other.
