GamersGate started early again with America and War themes: Napoleon’s Campaigns, World War One, American Civil War, Birth of America II: Wars in America, Birth of America. And probably more. Check them all out here.

But what’s important, I think, is the new overlay system called PlayXpert. It is transparent overlay that supports any game and doesn’t slow games down. It is possible to surf in internet with full CSS & Javascript support, tabbed browsing, bookmarks (that I miss most in Steam, not to mention search on page) and so on. Also you can control winamp, iTunes, MediaPlayer and so on, so you don’t have to alt+tab out the game.

It’s definitely worth to check this out. Now as Steam has some competition, maybe they start improve their medieval overlay system.
