Red Alert 3 unplayable online on Steam
Those who bought Red Alert 3 during Steam’s holiday sale are finding themselves with a partially useless game purchased at a fairly low price. Steam users report that the downloaded copies of Red Alert 3 don’t include serial numbers, which the game requires for online play.
A similar issue occurred recently through Steam with the digital sale of Spore. That problem seems to have been resolved, and at least one Red Alert 3 player has been able to rectify the current error, though the solution required the game to be re-downloaded directly from EA (complete with SecuROM DRM).
Still, EA’s eventual intervention in Steam’s Spore issue is a possible sign that these Red Alert 3 owners will get their fix as fast as possible.
Update:
EA today confirmed to Joystiq via Twitter that the issue had been "quickly resolved," further adding that "all is well back in Steam land."
D2 CDKey Shop
One of our users left a comment in the Steam Alternatives section about this store. We just browsed it and it looks very legit. And this seems like a good alternative to Steam.
G2Play.net selling stolen CD-Keys?

According to SavyGamer G2Play.net is selling stolen CD-Keys…at least for the game called Blood Bowl.
Another thing about G2Play.net. In the past (like two or a year ago) their prices were really attractive, but since Valve changed the currency for countries around the world G2Play’s prices went up high…I mean it looks like they are trying to rip off some people by setting the price higher than it really is.
I have removed G2Play.net from the alternative shops (approved sellers list) – at least for now.
Edit: CDkey-Game.com was also removed due to this.

Chronicles of Mystery – The Scorpio Ritual and the weekend deal…

This is some serious mystery alright, this game is $19.99 in the United States and…29.99€ in European Union (nearly $42)! Boycott FTW. I think they don’t even realize how stupid this looks. They want us to pay double? No thanks, and publishers wonder why is piracy so popular. Of course we do not support piracy of any kind.
And ahh the weekend deal, don’t even bother buying this on Steam for "50% cheaper". You can easily get this game out of the box for less than 30€ or get the cdkey directly from one of the Alternative Shops (this game activates on Steam just fine).
Peace out.
