A lot of new Bad Company 2 Vietnam gameplay material was shown on the Tokyo Game Show. The game is basically the same thing with new guns and vehicles (and maps obviously).
Here’s a gameplay video:
Onslaught (a new cooperative mode for Bad Company 2) will be available for the PC. There is no release date yet but it is 100% sure that the coop mode will be available on PC as well.
Patrick Bach from DICE wants to support over 4 million of fans by releasing the new game mode.
The Onslaught is going to have 4 re-designed levels – very well known Valparaiso, Atacama Desert, Isla Inocentes and Nelson bay. So basically if it’s gonna be the same maps over again. But that’s better than nothing.
Every map will have different objectives and things like vehicular combat or simple shootouts.
Update:
It seems that this is not true!
*UPDATE* 522175 is going live now. STEAM will launch later, possibly tomorrow, as it needs to go through extra QA before it goes live on Steam.
Version 522175 is going live within a couple of minutes. This has fixed the multiplayer map CTD’s we experienced with 522174.
[NOTE: 522175 is merely a re-packaging of the datafiles from 522174. Therefore, version 522175 reports itself as 522175 in the auto-patcher, but does still say "522174" in the game's splash screen.]
In addition, the Steam version will no longer have SecuROM. The patch is going through Steam compatibility testing as soon as possible. The patch is backward compatible. (We are not updating the servers, only the game clients.) So old & new game clients can play with each other.
