Steam account sells for $1,000 on eBay
An unknown Steam account holder managed to resell used Steam games – 139 of them, for $1,000.
Seller with a nickname dave311freak estimated his collection’s value at $2,700 and said he wanted at least $500 for the collection. The collection includes Grand Theft Auto IV, Modern Warfare 1 and 2, and Borderlands. He ended up getting double of what he wanted in the first place.
This account has absolutely no bans on any of the games, is in good standing with VAC, and any one of the games can be downloaded at any time on any computer with Steam on it.
I will change all of the information in that account to the winner’s email address and issue a password to the winner that he or she can change once they log in. I will also provide user account information for games that require additional credentials (Dragon Age for the DLC, Company of Heroes Account info, etc…).
Why is dave311freak ditching his Steam account (which is against the Steam Subscriber Agreement by the way)?
As you can probably tell, I spend way too much time buying and playing video games and I am going to try to spend more time with my family and doing other hobbies.

And yeah, it’s against the SSA, and many people who are sellin’ their WoW, Aion, MMO or whatever accounts, are also against Blizzard, NCsoft, etc. TOS / SSA, but people are STILL sellin them + people buying them. No problem if not catched or reported (with solid proofs), there are also many black markets for this stuff around the corner.
So… nuthin’ new. In November 2009 I saw a Steam Account who was sellin’ for $670, it was 1 or 2 Digits and NOT from Valve Member.

Just be advised that Steam calculator doesn’t know you bought a 30€ game for 3€ on some weekend deal etc.

It mistakenly reported my Orange box and Half-life anthology as Valve complete pack, although I don’t own Left4dead and CS.

thecalculator found a valve complete pack on my acc, even though i dont own all of the games of the pack, and i did not buy it either. weird.
if you log on Steam and look at your account (top right corner), there’s a list of your previous purchases (https://store.steampowered.com/account/).
nb : after dec 08 you’ll need to convert the euro into dollars… :|
(Total spent on Steam since dec 2007, with a 1.4 euro=>dollar rate : ~450 dollars)
