@Creiorly – There are not many shooters in the last 10 years which had the same strength as Quake 3. The quality of its gameplay doesn’t really fade with the years.
There are games which are 10 years old, and people still play it. As such, why not selling them (and gog.com makes a great job in this field).
However, a bigger question would be who would buy Quake 3 on Steam, with Quake Live out (http://www.quakelive.com).
I agree Gnoupi, but it is my personal belief that what you’ve said only applies for just a handful of retro fans, and even for them the price seems overpriced, especially, as you’ve pointed out, Quake Live is free. They are other memorable and ground braking games whose original price is not 10 euro. Generally, a lot of prices seem to me to be artificial so that when a 50% of discount would be offered, more potential buyers would be encouraged to open their wallets.
stranded: im just frustrated that they keep selling old games on everything digital now, making them HD and shit, there is no progress at all in gaming
0cube: oh well got that on steam anyways already... so no good?
stranded: it's just stupid wolf3d in browser
0cube: FUCK THAT SHIT: Sorry, your IP address shows you are coming from a country that requires us to block access to this particular site.

ID Software games are not available in Germany except for DOOM 3 and Commander Keen, just on a side note.
wiak please use the center tags or whatever, and use tags next time, I always fix that after you
Hey,
I think these old games are still quite overpriced even with 50% off.
So true, the reason why someone would pay that much for over a decade old games escapes me

Quake – even if it was fair price i would think about buying it. But since its 1€=1$ it has no chance at all.
1€=1$ = no buy for me.
Gnoupi: I agree with you, and I have purchased 70+ games so far @gog.com, but I still think that these Quake games are overpriced.
