Modern Warfare 2: Polish translation sucks

According to Modern Warfare 2 (.eu) Polish distributor and publisher LEM made few major mistakes (including in game achievements and the box itself), here’s a sample (“ZGÓB” should be ZGUB – it means LOSE – “Don’t lose this number”, the next one is self explanatory):

This one literally means: “Accidental laying at most suicides”.

More here.

What about other versions of the game? You guys found anything?

The whole game itself is a fail, atleast the PC-version.

Infinity Ward are jackasses but really sick thing is that Modern Warfare 2 is still a very good game.
Singleplayer is good and short as his predecessor.
There is no dedicated server and console for multiplayer,
but it doesn’t change the fact that multiplayer is fun. I didn’t had so much fun playing a shooter for months, not even in TF2. I actually need to force myself to quit playing every time.
All the Achievements, Challenges, Titles, Emblems and kill streaks you unlock make the game extremely motivating.
It just cool to unlock new guns and perks, and then to build your own custom class.
In the end by all the bad decision Infinity Ward did they still know how to do good and entertaining game. That is maybe the saddest thing about this story.

Call of duty: Modern Warfare 2 is like sex. Even when it was poorly, it still feels damn good.

@Rad86N from your Email I guess you live UK?

Then I would go for Amazon UK £29.70 as they offer free delivery to UK.

Or if don’t mind a possible risk you could go to G2Play for their £31.10 offer

The lowest prices I saw was for the Russian version ~15€, but the Russian version supports only Russian language. Steam will not download other language packages. I guess they did that to prevent grey imports.

A fast way to checkout for low prices is to use a price comparison search machine. Try that one: http://www.idealo.co.uk/

Edit: Unrelated; Here a link to Google’s Translate “Polish to English” for the curious. ;p

No. I’m actually a Czech living on the Czech/Pilish border near Cieszyn. :)
Local prices are around 45-55€ retail with postage.
So you are advising to take a risk with a keyshop.. I’ll do that. xD
    The russian thing sucks.. btw

As if anyone cares about a minor typo in Polish version, you’re not the center of the world, you know. And zgub does not mean loose – it means LOSE, single O, dumbfuck.

  • go fuck yourself – maybe Poland is not the center of the world but we’re in the center of Europe alright, the main reason I pointed this out is to show how publishers don’t care about gamers and wanted to ask if anyone in other countries found something fishy in their translations

anyway, I have no fucking idea why am I explaining myself to some random internet moron.
