HAHAHA! Nice joke Activision. My last fuck up was when i shelled out 60$ for your crappy port.
I do mistakes sometimes, but not the same one twice.
By the way, who is playing this failure of the year on pc? the best fps now for oc is Bad Company 2

xD
who's stupid enough to play MW2 after being in a destructable environment of BC2.. without destruction xxx MW2 is just a stupid shooter
the only better thing about MW2 is the campaign, may it be as ridiculous as the one from BC2

i am getting the feeling those mw2 vs bf:bc2 flame wars are getting almost as big as fanboys of xbox360 vs fanboys of ps3
I am not saying mw2 is the better game. but either games had its issues in the beginning.
both feature an, in my opinion different multiplayer, and both have decent campaigns.
While bc2 had some server issues, mw2 suffered from high-end-lag and "server"-hackers. even negative exp could be awarded! but most of this is fixed now. the last hard-lagging game i had was…. ages ago. The reason why i am not mentioning regular wallhackers is, because cod4mw also suffered from those, and bc2 also has wallhackers
due to i dont own bc2, i cant say very much about its gameplay, just that bc1 for the ps3 did rock!
Sure, paid dlc is not OK, and for that fucking high price, activision should be punched right in the f*cking face, but if you look at battlefield 2 and its paid addons, i havent heard anybody complaining there, have i?

An Add-on is like Awaking for Dragon Age, Mask of the Betrayer for Neverwinter Nights or Uprising for Red Alert 3.
It usually adds a lot of new stuff, change/enhance gameplay and often take many hours to complete.
While an DLC is usally of limited contend. A new map, a new vehicle, skins and doesn't lasts very long.
A good example is Borderlands. It released several DLC, but now they put them together to be sold as add-on disk. Three little DLC's put together for one huge add-on.
About MW2:
Well, I think MW2 is better game. If it
weren't for the dedicated
servers and cheaters I prefer MW2 over BC2.
I like the faster
gameplay, the killstreaks and then game never has crashed unlike BC2.
Game crashed when configuring keys, crashed
once when I flip my fly
controls,
because only god knows why the controls
for the helicopter and the
UAC RC helicopter are inverted. *facepalm*
Crashed when launching server browser, crashed when joining a server,
crashed once randomly somtime while playing.
Server browser fails to query servers properly.
Hit detection in close combat are fucked. I need with the M60 6-7
bullets to kill on distance, but on close range even 20 are sometimes
not enough.
I regret I bought the game again on gamegears.co.uk
Funny is in the end I go play rather TF2 or L4d, then MW2 or BC2.
Both are fail games. (except on 360 :p)

I am not a fanboy! Fanboy praises his favorite creation no matter what shit he sometimes get. I am an objective. I loved COD 4 and was waiting for MW 2. May be that's why i am so deeply disappointed.
This game had all the potential to be a real blast but they really fucked up. No dedicated servers for me it's not only lag. It's even worse. NO rules! Each corrupted teenage kid may does what ever he wants and nobody can kick him.
The game not balanced for lean (ok, i can eat it) it could be played without it, but no anti cheat!!!
In bc 2 i never met a cheater for 1 month of playing because our server is pbban streamed and we see each minute as some cheater was kicked.
What i hate else in MW 2 are your beloved killstreaks. They give a prize to 2 categories of players (campers and run and gun n00bs, forgot also commando super n00bs). So i like that people dont die so easily in bc 2. i am a fan of team play and this makes people to stick together and fight as a squad. this way they have more chances to kill somebody.
And what i hate even more is a greed. 60$ for the lousy port.
You may not like bc 2 but you must admit they worked hard to make a pc game different form console and much more optimized.
They listen to gamers and fix the game all the time. SO i totally happy i paid my money to dice.
Shame on activision, greed has no limits.
15$ for 5 lousy maps when 2 of them are taken form the old game.
Shame one more time

Its funny that you mention RA3Uprising. Technically, Uprising is NOT an addon, because its standalone, AND its a download only game. If you buy it retail, you get a download code for it and no cd/dvd is in the case of the game! (anyone thinks thats a DLC???)About the others I can't say much, I dont own them
Well… The F.E.A.R. 2 reborn DLC is now an add-on, or what? Or how about Crash Course for l4d1? The passing for l4d2? features new campaign, and for l4d2 even new weapons and enemys.

I never intended to say that, if you have the feeling that I did, my apologies. I just wanted to say that I am getting the feeling, that this will also turn out in a big fanboy battle, especially on youtube
Also I really think 15$/€ Is WAY too much for those maps. (altough I must say I would love to play the map Crash and beat some roofcamper asses with a predator ;D )

True, I know that most people miss PB. But when I think about it, what a big pain in the A$$ it was to update it like… every week because I got pb_kicked due to an old version of it, I rather prefer VAC. Sure most servers in CoD4 had pb, but if you look at those now, it seems there are tons of pb proof hacks out there. Just a matter of time, until bc2 gets the same problems. (sure, this will take its time… but it will come!)

From what I read, yes they put more effort in the game. But after screwing the PC community with releasing bf:bc1 only on consoles, I lost interest in BC2. (Sure, I got bc1 for the ps3, but thats mostly because of the trailers! The voice acting and jokes were hilarious, so I decided to give this game a shot, altough I do not like the way of playing this game. And now they screwed the console community, because of adding prone in the pc version… Seriousely, most people complain about the missing lean in mw2, but thats missing on all versions of the game. Prone is only missing in the console versions! Sure, its intended to be against campers but… why put it in the pc version then? nobody likes campers!
Sure, thats a matter of… how to say….. 'taste'. I simply do not like games where you jump in a tank, and going on a rampage with it. I do not like the thought of uber big maps, but thats juts my opinion. MW2 is a first person shooter and thats what I like. I dont wanna fly helicopters, drive tanks or jeeps. But don't think I am a MW2 fanboy either… BC really has some good points! It blew me on the ps3, as I was sneaking up to a camper, busting a hole in the wall and slicing the shit outta him! But I lost fun more quickly than in cod4 or mw2.

Not the first add-on that runs without the main program.
See Dawn of War Series: Winterstorm, Soulstorm etc.
I think the new DoW II add-on runs without the main programm too.
I checked Steam stores, yes like the former DoW add-on's runs without the main programm.

I still wonder who paid 60$. I bought at the day it got released for 27€ the UK version at my local video rent store.
I must have posted, I think a trillion times where you can buy the game europe wide for the the same or less.
Seriously, I think the only place that sold MW2 for 60$/€ was actually the SteamStore.
But what I really wanted to say that MW2 and BC2 have one thing common.
Both games are crap, and people should spent their money on something better.
Whores, alchole or give it to the local bum. :D

hahah. i love your point with whores and alcohol.
But i was that idiot who shelled out 60$ to the pocket of Bobby Kotick
Before MW 2 i had no steam account and had no idea where to buy legitimate games cheap.
Games are not delivered to my country from european game stores. in local retail stores prices are usually 15% higher than retail prices on steam.
That's why i used to pirate my games and buy one good multiplayer game in a year.
