Ever wanted something really bad on Steam? Can't stand other apps have it but Steam doesn't?

Request a Steam feature here and maybe after a while Steam developers will hear us out and add it to the application!

hehe… I know a 'nice' steam feature, that will never see daylight!

Let us choose, in what money we can pay… let me pay my games in $, €,

£ or even ¥(yen)!

I think most steam users would be very, very happy with that…. well it will stay a dream….

Fixed the code for ya 0cube ;)

Also, this probably won't happen – choosing in which currency we can pay.

But it's against the Steam Subscriber Agreement.

I couldn't find anything about it in the Steam Subscriber Agreement. Show me it please.

It's somewhere there that if you live in a country you can use your card only in this one particular country otherwise Steam Support disables your account. Everytime you change country you need to send a ticket to the support and tell them that you are going to use your card in different country and they will allow you to do that.

You are right that there's nothing in the SSA about buying in $ from Europe but I know from my own and my friends experience that Valve/Steam Support is not happy about you paying less ;) and using proxy, using friends outside your country or any other method makes them disable your account (not permanently, you gotta explain what you did).

That's why I use another account to gift it :P

But my method only works with pounds. Do you know a way to pay with dollars then?

Hey Ratman, could you explain how you do that? Or link me to the right direction?

as some of you might know…. steam got a downloadsystem, similar to P2P (stop download, continue downloading). At the moment, you can just download from steam servers. I'd like if the people could choose, if they also could act as a seeder. If steam servers are down or theres no more space for me to download, i still could get a few kbytes from other steam users..

also an upload rate limit would be nice, so i still control it, and it wont "eat" my whole internet connection and screw up the games i play online.

(I buy Braid and audiosurf few month ago, when I get the "Indie pack" extra copy was "lost" :().

Steam needs a feature where you can rollback patches and reinstall older versions of games. Example, I had a lot of CSS demos that I wanted to dump to video for my machinima movie, but because there was a update, 3 weeks of demo recordings were now rendered useless.

it sucks to hack sometimes steamresources to get it working offline.

shift 1
TITLE Steam Offline Patcher
Set /a "cnt=1"
set /a "n=1"
for /F %%i in (steam.cfg) do call :setvarFixLine %n% "%%i"
if "%var%"=="BootStrapperInhibitAll=enable" echo ForceOfflineMode=enable>steam.cfg && goto end
if "%var%"=="ForceOfflineMode=enable" echo BootStrapperInhibitAll=enable>steam.cfg && goto end
echo ForceOfflineMode=enable>steam.cfg && goto end
:end
cls
:setvarFixLine
If %cnt%==%1 Set "Var=%~2"
Set /a "cnt+=1"
pause>nul

anyway's.. thats a batch and i called it: offline.bat in my steam root directory.

I would like the ability to hide some games, so in settings you will have list of all games and you can choose which one show and hide. Also adding games to Steam would be good – if you have some retail game which is also on Steam, you pay lets say 2.5 Euro and add your key in Steam like UT3 etc…

But first they must fix the "Download stopping" bug. Its f***ing annoying when I pause download, open some game and Steam resume the download itself. So I pause it and go back to the game, but when I change server in some Valve game, Steam starts the download again Yell So I must stop the download, restart Steam and then i can play.

Steam really needs a checkbox in the properties panel for every game to disable steam community (overlay) for that game. Some games don't support overlays very well or I just don't want them on.

*Add a "Lending feature": you can lend your game to a friend, maybe after 2 weeks you can decide to give him.. or not.
It's not a "sell system", because the initial owner can get back his game at any moment.

*For Steam community and steam store, add a "comparison system", to see what friend has "this" game..

*Add a sponsorship system for websites.
