As far as I know, most of the stores uses paypal.Some stores ask you for your ID to prove that you are really the person that you claim to be on your account and that you are the owner of the credit card used. So it is not really a problem if you sent them that scan… Also they usually delete your picture after verification (or at least they say so) and their servers are protected by HTTPS or other forms of anti hacking systems.

In some rare cases most CD-Key stores require ID, passport or driver’s license scan to complete the purchase!

This is how they are checking if you are not scamming them, if you don’t like it don’t buy games in CD-Key stores.

This doesn't mean that it is a problem, it just says that you shouldn't buy from those stores if you don't want to send them your ID card (for example if you think that they will use your photos in an improper way).

The keys that have their own category on this forum are generally trusted, but in this period a lot of custumers are experiencing some problems with intkeys, so I would suggest you to avoid that store untill we get a serious answer about the recent problems.

Anyway there are a lot of other trusted stores around the web. You can get some by looking in the Other CD-Key Stores category (don't forget to read the feedbacks anyway) or you could use a grey store search engine. I can suggest you two of them: this one http://www.cdkeyprices.com/ and this one http://gamekeyfinder.de/

Finally I would have suggest you to look out from region locked keys (the russian ones), but I've read that you are russian, so I guess that those keys are not a real problem for you ;)
