I'm pretty new to buying keys online. My first atempted purchase was buying a key from G2play but they asked me for a scan of my ID.

Since i'm pretty sure that's illegal to ask for in most countries(it is in europe, only the police have the right to ask for someones ID) I have no intention of giving that information out to anyone.

yes I do ask for scan sometime to protect myself from fraud orders.Sometimes scammers steal other peoples paypal and buy keys from us and then later on we get a unauthorized transaction .

Once a son used his mothers paypal and after completing the order the mother did a chargeback and I lost 50$ .SO that is why I ask for customer ID and it is not illegal.If customers are not comfortable with providing scans then they should not give scan but most of the times if a customer dont give scans then I dont complete the order and refund the money
