Not buying from G2 PLay anymore.

I have spent well over $400 with G2PLAY and I have finally decided that it's not worth the hassel any more.

I'm sick of spending up to 24-48 hours to get a game after I buy it. I'm now looking for a site that gives you your keys in less then 2 hours or instant if it is possible. I also hate that G2play often ask for a photo of my licence or passport.

Is there a key site that gives you the key fast?

Check here http://steamunpowered.eu/steam…..ernatives/

Also I would go with Keys4.me because it looks very legit to me but I personally didn't buy anything from them.

Hi you could try us gamekeydistrict.com and regarding id verification just give a link to this topic and we wont ask for one and we ask it in special cases only,All cdkey sites ask for id for verification purposes.

If we are online then we do it innstantly and we are working on instand auto delivery also but it is under beta phases and will take a bit of time

I dont think its good if you make exceptions for one customer but ask another one for it. If he cant stand that he should either go retail or get a shop where it never matters.

Hey guys! No need to fight. He recommended it not as an admin, so it was his personal opinion. I would also say keys4.me, because i never ever had any problems with them and they let me pay in paypal (not like OKS). So if i say my personal opinion you would tell me I can't do it too?

Nobody here works in any of cd-key stores. We all are customers so we don't advertise anybody, we just exchange our personal experiences.

Last time i checked your store i never saw any option for a paypal in the shopping cart pay options. And i don't buy that combination you offer as a solution of no paypal problems (i am not sending you money and not paying your fees in paypal).

Regarding prices be more precise when you claim you're cheaper than any other store:

Mafia 2 PL/CZ/RU

Keys4.me: 15.99 euros

OKS: 18.99 euros

Mafia 2 ENG/FR/GR/IT/SP

Keys4.me: 21.99 euros

OKS: 29.99

Kane & Lynch: Dog Days:

Keys4.me: 22.99 euros

OKS: 28.99

Battlefield BC 2:

Keys4.me: 16.99

OKS: 14.99

So don't say you're cheaper. Say in some games we are cheaper and in some we are more expensive, it would be more fair.

Regarding the delivery time i can say only on my personal experience of 4 games i got from keys4.me that my keys were delivered in 15 minutes max after the paypal transition finish (usually in 2-5 minutes).

You got some nerves to tell the guy that runs the site here and pays for the shit, that he is not entitled to an opinion.

It seems everyone (except 0cube) forgot about the original post and jumped on the "My store is better than you !" train oO

"I'm sick of spending up to 24-48 hours to get a game after I buy it."

=> What the heck ?! oO

So that guy is getting games with a price reduction around 20%/30% (compared to retail or digital distribution stores), and is still mad at the people running the key store, only because they delivered the key one or two days after his online purchase ?! seriously, to me it's a big WTF

- – - Let's look at the different types of stores :

* Retail

pro => physical disc + box + manual ; can return to the store in case of problems

cons => price is high ; you must walk/drive to the store

* Digital distribution (Steam, D2D, Impulse, etc)

pro => immediately start to download (= need to wait few hours for a game) ; special deals ; auto-updates

cons => price is the same as retail price most of the time (exception : special deal) ; need an Internet connection to play (+availability of the platform servers)

* Online keys stores (aka "Grey market" )

pro => very often, it's cheaper than retail/digit (-10% to -50%)

cons => few stores are not reliable, need to check first ; if not digit keys, need to provide the game's files yourself

- – -

I can't believe that guy is mad at the store for taking one or two days to deliver the key.

I mean, if Amazon.com/.co.uk/etc have a -20% price (compared to retail) for the game I'm going to get, hell I'm a cheap student I can wait a few days to get it.

If you REALLY need to have that game ready-to-play in the next 2 hours, just go to the retail store, get the DVD at full price, go home, update it with the auto-updater or launch the download of the patches files just before going to the store, and play the damn game.

Or just go the lazy way, get the game on a digital platform (like Steam), let the client do the installation/download/patching work while you're shouting at the download speed (because you're either : using the bandwidth while waiting /or/ failing at finding something to do that doesn't eat bandwidth /or/ not accepting your connection is that slow), then enjoy your games after few hours.

You can't expect something to be cheaper AND faster AND with a higher quality/reliability than the other stores (like Steam was few years ago), and still not gaining huge % of the video game distribution market (like Steam did few years ago), the only source of such expectation is ignorance (imo)

- – -

"Hey, that store gave me the key 1 hour after my purchase ! Why that other store can't do that too ?"

These stores are ephemeral – if they grow too big (in term of market share), publishers will stop using keys and the party will be over (no, Activision/EA shareholders won't be okay to let you buy their games for only 80% of the price).

These stores know that, that's why there's no "super big giant" keys store : they can't decide to buy giant offices, storage and a truckload of employees and simply pray for the next best-selling games to works on keys, that's way too risky.

Then we have the legal risk : some people call it the "grey market" (for good reasons) – these stores can't simply ask the bank "please give me x dollars to grow big, make some marketing operations" with that uncertain legal situation – what would happen if Activision-Blizzard, EA and THQ drop a lawsuit on every store ?

That's why we have several relatively "small" keys stores, and a small % of video game distribution for keys store.

"Small" means "I can't hire more employees when we have tons of sales for a short period, I haven't the structure nor the money",

It also means "dammit I need to get more MW2 keys, do the accountancy, work on the website, find someone to replace Joe while he's sick/away, haa I can't work more than 24 hours per day !".

Over 2 or 3 days for a key ? ok I understand the customer can be a bit angry.

But man, 24/48 hours for a key store ? that's freaking normal !

Imagine that the guys have a shitpile of games they must buy, store, scan and sell on a website (dev + maintenance of the platform). Weekend 2-days pause ? BS, find someone to work during that period if you need a break, same with holidays.

I can't believe some customers/users/players think that everything should be free/cheap & instant/fast  & flawless/hi-quality at the same time. Everything has a cost dammit.

Cheaper = worse-than-regular service (in this case, bigger delay between purchase and play)

Oh my god! I almost began to cry when i imagined what a tough life cd-key store owners have.

It's their business (gray, black, orange), but it's the business. And in business you should fulfill what you promised to your customer. None of cd-key stores informs their potential customers that they deliver keys in 2-3-4-5-6 etc days. They all ensure you that you'll have an ultra-fast delivery (15 minutes, 30 minutes, 60 minutes up to 24 hours).

I hope you know that buying from these shops it's always a gambling. And now i sit and wait for 3 days not having a key after the store already got my money. No way. And don't tell me about their tough life. Any CD-KEY store is not a philanthropic organization, because they earn money from this business and if some of them can't give me a promised service they should not run it.

P.S. I am really glad some new cd-key stores have different service philosophy from what you preached us here. Because CD-key stores don't make us a favor by selling games cheaper. We do them a favor by buying from them! Remember it and tell it to that cd-key store where you work.

Because there is always a risk you won't get your key. I am even not talking about the risk that your game will be revoked by steam, or even worse all your account with all games will be banned, because you bought a suspicious grey market key.

Pyro Gourmand always has good and reasoned posts. He seems to be intelligent and thinking person, who can see both sides of the story. Lots people lack that skill.

I remember times, when calling a cab was not for rich guys anymore and I was also pissed, when they didn't answer after few beeps. I disconnected and called to another taxi company. We have lots of taxi businesses around here.

But now the demand is so high and I gladly wait 20 minutes in the line to get a cab. On last new year eve, I was calling 2 hours straight without a break to get a damn cab!

I bought Dark Messiah of Might and Magic Collectors edition directly from Ubisoft retail store and I had to wait over a god damn month to get this crap! I spent ca 50€ to buy it, after a week it was sold in our retail stores for 30€! That pisses off!

To play or not to play – what question is that?!

If you say he is an old member i probably need to apologize. I've seen 1st post and the reason is to defend, so i decided probably wrong about his motives.
Believe me i can be objective and can see both sides. Just the attitude of big fishes in this pool is not so appropriate sometimes. They are so long in this business that i have a feeling they totally forgot who is the boss here. Customer is always right. This rule works for every business either white, grey or purple.

Oh, Slava, don't take everything so personally :) Pyro didn't take any side, he just explained, how the stuff really is. Just like usually he does with his long posts. And I am not sure how old member he is.

Yes, the customer is the king, but if he gets too cocky, then he becomes bad customer and no one wants customer like this. Even if he is rich sob.

Please look at this video and tell me, who is bad and who is not? Which side you will take?

I take things personally, it's bad to my health, i know but that's how i am Wink
Really nice movie and i was laughing a lot. I think i would throwing out of my business such customers.

But I hope you don't compare me to these assholes Laugh I don't contact OKS or some other store and say: I want this game for $5 and i don't care you sell it for $20, because i want it but have only $5.

I only say if they can't deliver the key in promissed time they should inform clients that it may take up to a week or some other time schedule, I don't know. and if a guy paid his money he should not wait for 2 days if he promised up to 1 hour delivery. At least contact a customer and apologize explaining the situtation. We all are humans and can understand only talk to us.

Promises are ment to keep. If there was a promise to deliver it within 1 hour, then it must be done so. But you never know, what could happen, force major or something else could happen (remember the case, when one of keystore was fooled by some asshole, who didn't deliver promised keys). So everybody makes mistakes. But sure it is nice to admit it and apologize.

I believe that most people forgave to that cdkeystore, who apologized in public and explained how they got scammed. We all are humans. We all make mistakes. And we don't die, if we have to wait little bit longer, this isn't emergency :) It's Valve time, baby! :D
