EA Scams people now?

After the new update to the EA DLM both my BF2142 Northern Strike and BFBC2 were removed from the list of games I have on it.

BFBC2 is instaled and works fine, BF2142 isn't and now I can't update it with the addon that I paid for.

WTF?

Is this some kind of sick joke by EA to force people to re-buy games?

This may be because some of EADM games can be downloaded for fixed period only, for example two years from purchasing (it doesn't affect the possibility to play the game, only to download it from EADM). So i guess the period for your games if over. You can write to EA support and ask what happened, if it is the download period, which is over, then ask for prolonging it (they can do this).

Ok BF2142 was pretty damn old, but BFBC2 was added to my account only 2-3 months ago.

Meh it dosen't matter anyways, for BFBC2 I can just download a pirated client and play the game with my legit account.

Write to EA support. I wrote to them few times (to Polish support) and they are very nice and helpful so i'm sure they explain and/or fix it (if it needs "fix").

same situation for me few months ago: i registered an original nad company 2 on eadm, downloaded, installed and played. But few days after i 've seen it disappeared from the eadm list (other games i registered with the same method are still there).

Bad company 2 is still playable 100%.

So i submitted a ticket to ea support to ask why it disappeared: simply the answer was that retail games cann't be registered in eadm and they asked me to give them the proof of the digital purchase in eastore.com .

At this point i have not done anything because my bad company 2 is a retail version.

I can only suppose that if a game is not more in list is because the ea servers makes errors and if you don't have the digital proof they simply don't check if there is something wrong. A bit lame.

Try to contact them, probably they will say the same things said to me.

That pretty much contradict EA. All EA games released since 2009 can be registered on EADM. Has the advantage you no longer need the DVD for playing, and you can download the game from the EA server anytime. The disadvantage is you can't sell the game, as the CD-key is now bound to your EA account. As long you plan to keep the game this shouldn't be a problem.

Here a list of older games that can be registered on EADM too.

I forgot if you have trouble to register a game in EADM try the website.

http://ea.onlineregister.com/

much more reliable. I myself registered my retail copies of Dragon Age and Mass Effect 2 there.

Well this is funny.

After buying ME2 Digital Deluxe Edition (which I got for only 25€ thanks to Steam Unpowered), Battlefield 2142 Northern Strike magicly re-appeared in my EADM o.O

Steam would take all your games. Like when they do sometimes when there is a payment error.
