To help Valve test this new feature, now in beta, click here and follow the instructions available there. Remember, even in beta, purchases are real (no refunds). You should only fund with money you actually plan to use on Steam. And as always, please report any feedback here on the forums.

Here are some of our concerns:

1) Where are the money stored? Is Steam suddenly a bank?

2) What security measures did Valve take to actually prevent hijacking accounts in order to steal money (imagine sending Steam funds to your friends in the future)?

I’m sure you guys will find a lot more concerns although it may lead to good stuff like Steam Cards being distributed very soon just like on iTunes (like cards worth $5, $10, $15 etc.).

Recent changes to the Steam Subscriber Agreement say that the funds cannot be transferred to a different account (or refunded, for that matter).

Rockstar Games said today that it will be bringing Grand Theft Auto III, Vice City and San Andreas to Mac gamers "later this year."

"Look for the long-awaited release of the classic Grand Theft Auto Trilogy (Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas) for Mac – most likely later this year," the studio said in its "Asked and Answered" feature. "We’ll have much more info and a proper announcement soon."

Wonder if it’s at all related to the curious re-rating – at least in Australia – for a "modified" and "multiplatform" version of Vice City.

Technically, any Mac gamer with a copy of Windows installed has been able to play these games on his machine for some time. A native version is nicer to have. And its nice to see Rockstar climbing aboard in its support of the platform.

The new DLC for Borderlands – Claptrap’s New Robot Revolution – is going to be released on September 28th. XboX 360 users will have to pay 800MS points for it which is around $10. We hope the PC price will be the same for everyone.

The new DLC will not make your max in-game level cap go higher because of the upcoming patch on October 12th is going to raise the max level cap to all players for free from 61 to 69.

October 12th is also the date of Borderlands GOTY release and all users who buy the GOTY version will receive a coupon for Claptrap’s New Robot Revolution. I wonder if it’s gonna be registerable on Steam?

The new DLC introduces 6 new locations and modified deadly claptraps. If you’ll manage to complete the DLC in play through 1 and 2 you will get 2 extra character points and 6 slots in your inventory.

Yes, we realize that if your e-mail is verified on Steam the “hacker” won’t be able to change the password but still he or she can get you VAC Banned and if you have shit loads of games like me it wouldn’t be very pleasant, would it?

You may think that “mehhh I don’t click links from strangers anyway” but that’s the problem, the new “hacker” takes over your friend’s Steam account and pretends to be your friend just so you could click the link – I know I would click on some random tinyurl.com link from my friends.

So yeah, be careful out there. I wonder what’s Valve going to do about it.

Do you think Valve should produce the whole trilogy? I personally think that’s not such a good idea because I don’t want another Left 4 Dead series…I mean the content, re-playability and all of course both games are very different.

The original game came out on Wii but right now it’s going to be released on PlayStation Network and Steam, here are the PC features:

In the latest issue of PC Gamer Magazine, Gabe has given his word that 3 big announcements are going to be made by Valve within the next 12 months. Here’s what Gabe said exactly:

I can guarantee you people are going to be surprised at stuff we do. That isn’t going to stop any time soon. I’m just laughing because… people will be shocked again. We have three pretty big surprises in the next 12 months at least.
