Activision is gayyy!

Gamasutra released a report about women in Activision games. Ex-Activision employees claim that the company is strongly avoiding putting any female characters as game’s main characters. One of the best examples is Black Lotus – a very promising game created by Treyarch. The main character was supposed to be a woman and it turned out that because of this the whole project was canceled to be later resumed as a totally new game (True Crime: Hong Kong) with a male main character. Other Activision workers say that the company has an unofficial „no women” policy just because the titles…don’t sell good enough.

Hmm..lets see, maybe it’s because your games are shitty/too expensive not because of female characters?

Shame on you Activision! You should take an example from BioWare and it’s games, like Mass Effect 2 character Miranda Lawson (played by Yvonne Strahovski – voiceover, movement and everyting else – mostly known from the famous TV show Chuck), maybe she wasn’t really a main character but it’s a good example of how it should be done.

SHAME ON YOU!

It’s not really humor, it’s just stupid and homophobic. Also, if the female games doesn’t sell as well as the male games, I completely understand.

What the fuck’s up with the childish “lol they so gayyyyyyyyy”? You can’t criticise sexism while you’re stuck in pre-puberty homophobia.

Sometimes I wish Miranda was real…

A great example of how to portrait a woman in a game. Activision seriously needs to lay down its “no women” policy.
